- 1/2 C water
- 700g sugar
- 1 C heavy cream
- 100g butter, cubes
- 1 t salt
- In a large saucepan, add water & sugar, and bring to a rolling boil. Do not stir at all. Let boil until mixture has melted down and is a light brown color (about 12 minutes).
- Bring saucepan off heat, add the heavy cream, and stir well. Add the butter & salt and stir until melted.
- Filter through a strainer into an airtight container.
- Serve over ice cream, or dessert of your choosing!
