Chicken Tikka Masala

  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 chicken breasts

  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream

  1. In a small bowl, mix together cumin, cinnamon, cayenne, pepper, and salt; set aside.
  2. Cut chicken breasts into 1” pieces and place into a large bowl. Add sour cream, ginger, and spices. Mix together until chicken is evenly coated. Let marinate for 2-12 hours.
  3. Once chicken is marinated, in a large sauce pan, saute onion in butter for about 5 minutes and then add garlic, sauteing for another 2 minutes. Add cumin, paprika, and salt, tomato sauce, and heavy cream. Whisk until it thickens slightly.
  4. While simmering the sauce, in a cast iron skillet, saute chicken until cooked through. Add chicken to sauce and stir.
  5. Serve over long grain rice with naan and enjoy!
