Killer Chocolate Cake

This is my fool proof cake recipe that I’ve been making since freshmen year of high school!

Cake Ingredients:

  • 2 C sugar
  • 1 ¾ C flour
  • ¾ C cocoa
  • 1 ½ t baking powder
  • 1 ½ t baking soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 C milk
  • ½ C vegetable oil
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 1 C boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix together all the wet ingredients except the boiling water in a large bowl.
  3. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well.
  4. Add the boiling water and stir.
  5. Bake @ 350 for 15 minutes in two 9” round pans, or until a fork comes out clean.

Icing Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • ⅔ C cocoa
  • 3 C powdered sugar
  • ⅓ C milk
  • 1 t vanilla

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter and add cocoa.
  2. Beat everything together.
  3. Ice cake once cooled.
