Killer Chocolate Cake

This is my fool proof cake recipe that I’ve been making since freshmen year of high school!

Cake Ingredients:

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 ¾ cup flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven 350.
  2. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Mix together all the wet ingredients except the boiling water in a large bowl.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well.
  5. Add the boiling water and stir.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes in two, greased, 9” round pans, or until a fork comes out clean.

Icing Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • ⅔ cup cocoa
  • 3 cup powdered sugar
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter and add cocoa.
  2. Beat everything together.
  3. Ice cake once cooled.
