Blackberry & AK Cranberry BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 T butter
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 minced cloves of garlic
  • 1 quart frozen blackberries
  • 1 quart AK cranberries
  • 2 T tomato paste
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 t dijon mustard
  • 2 T apple cider vinegar
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • ¼ brown sugar
  • 1 t dry mustard
  • 1 t paprika
  • ½ t cayenne
  • 1 t salt

Directions:

  • Saute onions in butter for one minute and then add minced garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add frozen blackberries and cook until soft.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Once cooked down, crush the berries until fairly smooth.
  • Let simmer until sauce thickens.
